I have been to this Miss Shirley's location a couple times now and am always impressed with their service! The employees are extremely attentive to you and make you feel very welcomed. It's important to note that Miss Shirley's is usually always full to capacity and somehow the wait times have never been longer than 15 minutes for me. This place is a house hold name in Baltimore and now I understand why! A must have if you're ever in the area.
What I have tried:
"Get your grits on": Miss Shirley's style shrimp and grits. If you're into Southern food, I highly recommend this dish! The fried green tomatoes are something I have never tried and I was definitely a big fan! Overall, the dish was very well seasoned and really hit the spot.
"Grandpa's cornbread": Cornbread with Jalapeño- Peppadew butter, with cajun seasoning was sooooo good! Great appetizer to share while waiting for the main dish!
"Amy's Favorite Bagel": open faced smoked salmon bagel with all the typical fixins and then some. It was beautifully garnished, both delicious and aesthetic! -

Started out with Funky Monkey and it could have been a meal of its own!
Served warm with chocolate sauce for dipping, amazing stuff!
I had the special, pumpkin cheese cake stuffed French toast served with warm real deal syrup. This thing is huge and delicious! Loved it! I added a side of ham for $5, and it was a little small for the price but had great flavor.
It was Sunday afternoon and we had a half hour wait, but it was worth it. I'm not in town very often, but this is on the top of my list the next time I'm here. I tried the other location at the harbor the last time I was here, and the quality and service is consistent and very well done.
You could argue the price is a smidge high, but for a special occasion, it is well worth it.
Well done! -

Unique, lots of pop, and servers who care.
Never had shrimp and grits or the option to put salmon on my breakfast like they did. My only
Regret is that this place isn't closer to home.
As food passed us everything looked tantalizing! Cooked to perfection and items you won't find anywhere else, Shirley's is a must do for all breakfast lovers before leaving Baltimore -

I love Miss Shirley's! I started coming here as undergrad at Hopkins and fell in love with Miss Shirley's. Their service is unmatchable - always with a smile on their face, asking how else they can help you, and I love that the wait staff starts off by asking if there are any allergies to be aware of. I also love how they have a rotating pancake, French toast and omelet of the month so there's always something new you can try. The food itself is impeccable- I have never tried anything there that I didn't love. My favorites include their grits, any of their pancakes, and their omelets. Today, I got the sweet potato and grits "gritters " to start (off the fall menu), which was amazing! For my main I ordered the On the Bayou omelet (andouille sausage, shrimp, white cheddar and tomatoes) and had the everything biscuit and collard greens as my sides. Absolutely amazing! A must must must try if you are in Baltimore.

Everyone knows that Miss Shirley's is one of Baltimore's very best, so I'm gonna skip ahead and say that our service this weekend was stellar! We came at prime time on a Sunday but were promptly seated at an outdoor table like requested within 10 minutes. Our server Mikayla (sp?) was so warm but also super chill --she made our experience all the better! We opted for the restaurant week menu and it was my first time ordering lunch. I got the deviled eggs and fried chicken sandwich, but also tried the pulled pork sandwich. Everything was DELICIOUS! I'm not usually a fan of deviled eggs, but these were a whole other experience... As if the crunchy breading on the outside wasn't enough, they had a filling with fried chicken bits in it --like what?!? I'm sold on these eggs forever! The sandwiches were equally solid, although nothing out of the ordinary.
Miss Shirley's at Roland Park is always a solid choice for food, but their service makes this place top notch! You won't regret it.
